Some things to consider for June 4th

The elections on June 4th are getting closer. It is time to ask what the EU really does for us and whether or not we might be better off without it.

To the latter point we might contribute that the EU currently costs £40,000,000 per day. This is money that might be contributed to the health care system or to better education or toward correct and better military equipment. Money that is going into a deep, dark pit of depravity and corruption in Brussel's and the spending of which we have no control and they have no accountability.

Next, we have the issue of the Lisbon treaty (discussed in detail in an earlier post). It is a treaty that establishes a permanent president of the EU (possibly Mr. Smiley Blair), assumes control of all the oil and gas supplies of constituent countries and creates a European armed force. These are not all of its contents of course, and in fact, the most troubling part of this treaty is yet to come. It is SELF-AMENDING, they will not need to pass any further treaties because the Lisbon treaty grants arbitrary powers to the president and other members of the EU oligarchy.

I do not believe that it is hard to see why we would be better off outside the EU political institution. The following are reasons why there are no benefits to being member whether leaving the European union is beneficial or not.

The EU, then, is forever passing legislation and telling our sovereign government what it can and cannot do, this leads to many ridiculous policies that are actually detrimental and do not even come close to their original aims, this is due to two reasons:
1. The legislation is passed in Brussels by people detached from the reality as those who are "on the ground" so to speak would percieve it and it is then applied universally to all countries in the EU with no regard for the individual needs and situations of any particular state.
2. They are not able to observe the mood and needs of the individual states and the peoples therein thus are not able to efficiently, as the autonomous governments of the constituent nations might - change and adapt legislation to suit. In other words they operate a one size fits all policy and are so absolutist that they cannot acknowledge the possibility that a policy that works in one country will not work in another.

So, from that, we see that an autonomous, sovereign government is better suited to passing the legislation that the EU chooses to pass itself, and that it should be within the remit of the government of a nation and not an out of touch, overgrown supra-national state to do so.

The EU does not have right nor even the capacity to effectively govern as a supra-national state and so should remain a trading community rather than a political establishment.

The european constitution, now called the 'Lisbon treaty' is a treaty which will create a European central state. It aims; to remove national identity, to subjugate the autonomy of democratically elected governments, to grant it's oligarchical leadership arbitrary powers to amend any further treaties and legislation it so pleases without the necessity for a democratic vote or the chance for veto, and finally it will give the EU control over the oil and gas supplies of its' constituent nations.

Those features listed above are but a selection of some of its' most concerning contents. This is the doomsday treaty. The end of democracy in Europe which will be subjugated by the oligarchy of bureaucratic, un-elected officials in the political establishment of the European Union. This being, not because the treaty itself creates tyrrany but that it is self amending and therefore removes any inhibitions or defenses that prevent it. Yet, we in Britain and the peoples of all but one of the EU constituents (Ireland) do not even recieve the most basic of democratic initiatives - a referendum.

This indicates fully the nature of the treaty in itself, that; not only does it provide almost unlimited tyrranical powers to the leaders of the European Union, but in order for the implementation of this treaty to occur at all, those very leaders who claim to be defenders of democracy must overrule it in a most anti-democratic and tyrranical manner.

The Government of Great britain has sold us out, for a swollen sallary and a large pension fund, they are prepared to disregard even the most basic of democratic rights. They accuse any who oppose Europe and its' ambitions, of fascism, they even suggest that any who oppose the lisbon treaty are mentally ill! Upon its' original rejection by Ireland (the only country to hold a referendum), they vowed to continue trying to implement the treaty, even voting to disregard the Irish vote entirely.

I say that this Government is anti-democratic. I say that they will do anything for money and nothing for the electorate that they purport to represent. I say that they are traitors who have sold the British Government at the behest of foreign officials in Brussels. It may be noted that in the treason laws there is a clause about allowing the influence of foreign powers to overrule British autonomous Government.

If only it ended there. I did - not some considerable time ago - believe that the conservative party, in opposition, would be the solution to this sordid state of affairs. Unfortunately, I have since come to realise that their interests also seem detatched entirely from the electorate. They could, as they have done recently with the Ghurkas, force this Government to hold a referendum on the Lisbon treaty. Yet most of their opposition to this treaty, though it does appear to exist, has been meagre and "half-hearted" indicating that the possibility to them of not holding a referendum on this terrifying treaty has occurred.
